RK Lyon is Pastor-Teacher of SouthPark Bible Church, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Attended public schools in Oklahoma through “Junior College”.

Attended an additional four year University in Oklahoma, 1965-1967 - Majoring in History

Attended the “Tulsa Seminary of Biblical Languages”, Dr. Glenn Carnegy, Founder

After moving to Houston he attended and graduated from the “University of Houston”.

Double Major studies: Chemistry/Forensic Science and Criminal Justice/Police Science, (Cum Laude).

His accumulated formal Theological academics include: Biblical Languages - 5 years Greek, 5 years Hebrew, Latin; Hermeneutics, Systematic Theology, Biblical History, and others. While in public service, academic course work in Biblical Languages and Systematic Theology continued. He has been associated with the ministry of R. B. Thieme Jr., Bible Ministries, and Berachah Church (Robert B. Thieme III, Pastor) since 1965.

After moving to Texas in 1970, Lyon served in Texas Law Enforcement (36 years) rising from rank of Patrolman to the rank of Master Sergeant (Duties Included: Patrolman/Supervisor, Identification Division and Crime Scene Investigation Bureaus, Drug Chemistry and Trace Evidence analyst, Firearms Examiner, Firearms Instructor, Criminal Investigator).

He was assigned as a Forensic Scientist/Chemist to the Regional Crime Laboratory in 1982 and was later commissioned to “Regional Crime Laboratory Director” serving the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, various Municipal Police Departments, Texas State, and Federal Agencies. He retired with an Honorable Discharge from Civil Service in AD 2006.

Continuing the teaching of the Scripture and accurate dissemination of the Word of Truth using Isagogics and contextual analysis through exegesis is his objective and assignment as a Pastor-Teacher for “SouthPark Bible Church”.
